Community · reviewed contributions

Evidence Room

A public record of reviewed challenges and contributions to existing Investigations. Publication here means the contribution was reviewed and documented; it does not mean a reader vote or submission determines the evidence status.

How community input is handled

Attention can be crowdsourced. Evidence still has to be checked.

Community input follows one of two editorial paths. New Claim proposals are screened before any Investigation is opened. Challenges and contributions to existing Investigations are verified against the current record and may produce canonical changes. Only reviewed outcomes from the second path can become public Evidence Room records.

Community processing

Two routes. One editorial standard.

Path A · New Claim

From proposal to editorial disposition

A submitted proposition is screened against the existing corpus before we decide whether a new Investigation should exist.

  1. 01
    Submit

You send the Claim and, where possible, its original source trail.

  2. 02
    Triage

We check scope, substance, obvious duplicates and whether the material is usable.

  3. 03
    Corpus check

We compare it with existing Claims, Investigations, Learn items, Evidence and Sources.

  4. 04
    PIP

If genuinely new or uncertain, it enters the Preliminary Investigation Procedure for testability, evidence landscape, scope, value and researchability.

  5. 05
    Editorial disposition

It may become a new Investigation, expand or update existing coverage, route elsewhere, be held, or be dropped as out of scope.

Not a public queue: raw Claim proposals do not become Evidence Room records.

Path B · Existing Investigation

From challenge to reviewed outcome

A contribution to an existing Investigation is checked against the underlying material before it can affect the canonical record.

  1. 01
    Submit

You choose the exact Investigation and submit evidence, a challenge, correction or methodological objection.

  2. 02
    Triage

We check relevance, duplicates, target fit and whether the material can actually bear on the Claim.

  3. 03
    Verify

The underlying Source is inspected and compared with the current Evidence record and article wording.

  4. 04
    Decide

The contribution is accepted, partly accepted, declined, marked duplicate or ruled out of scope.

  5. 05
    Canonical impact

If warranted, Sources, Evidence, wording, corrections or Evidence Status are updated.

  6. 06
    Visibility

If useful for transparency, the reviewed challenge, editorial response and resulting change become a public Evidence Room record.

Publication is separate from acceptance: a serious declined challenge can still be worth documenting publicly.

The room is ready; the record is still empty.

Reader submissions already go to the editorial review queue. Reviewed contributions will appear here only after they have been checked and linked to the relevant Investigation, Evidence and Sources.
