Real-world cell phone radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposures

This page documents how this source is reused across Claim by Claim. A source can support, challenge, qualify or contextualize different claims; appearing here does not imply endorsement of every linked proposition.

Evidence context

How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Do Bluetooth devices cause cancer because they emit radiofrequency radiation?

Challenges

Wall et al. (2019) tested 22 handsets representing 17 models plus Bluetooth headset comparisons under 2G phone use; their original publisher abstract/highlights reported 10–400 times lower measured headset power density than connected phone near-ear measurements. This is source-proximate field measurement, NOT a 10–400-fold reduction in human head SAR or cancer incidence, nor representative of every modern Bluetooth headset.
