How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Does ivermectin reduce hospitalization or death from COVID-19?

Challenges

The double-blind TOGETHER platform trial did not show a prespecified clinically meaningful reduction in hospitalization or prolonged emergency observation with ivermectin.

Intention-to-treat composite hospitalization OR >6-hour emergency observation was 100/679 (14.7%) vs 111/679 (16.3%), RR 0.90 (95% Bayesian credible interval 0.70–1.16); it did not establish a clinically meaningful benefit and is not a mortality-only outcome.
