Evidence context

How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Do herbal parasite cleanses reliably eliminate intestinal parasites?

Supports

In a randomized pilot of 60 stool-positive Nigerian children, papaya-seed/honey elixir cleared microscopy-detected parasites after 7 days in 23/30 (76.7%) versus 5/30 (16.7%) given honey alone. The laboratory reader was blinded; two children in the active group reported brief nausea or loose stool. This does not validate other formulations or longer-term eradication.
