Re-analysis on the statistical sampling biases of a mask promotion trial in Bangladesh: a statistical replication

This page documents how this source is reused across Claim by Claim. A source can support, challenge, qualify or contextualize different claims; appearing here does not imply endorsement of every linked proposition.

Evidence context

How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Did community face masks fail to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission?

Qualifies

A published statistical reanalysis argued that process-related denominator imbalances in the Bangladesh cluster trial complicate a simple causal interpretation of its symptomatic-seroprevalence rate difference.

The published reanalysis found 170,497 enumerated participants in intervention vs 156,938 control and 1,086 vs 1,106 symptomatic seropositives; unblinded assessment and differential denominators complicate interpretation. This reuses the original trial data, not independent replication.
