How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Is Nibiru a real planet that repeatedly enters the inner Solar System?

Challenges

A leading quantitative Planet Nine model places the hypothetical object on a distant orbit with an estimated semimajor axis around 380 AU and perihelion around 300 AU, not on an orbit that repeatedly enters the inner Solar System.

This is the strongest serious counterpoint to the idea that every proposed undiscovered planet is Nibiru.
