Sydney Diet Heart Study: recovered randomized mortality data
This page documents how this source is reused across Claim by Claim. A source can support, challenge, qualify or contextualize different claims; appearing here does not imply endorsement of every linked proposition.
Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.
In 458 men with prior coronary events, one randomized intervention replacing saturated fat with high-linoleic safflower products produced 17.6% versus 11.8% all-cause mortality (HR 1.62; 95% CI 1.00–2.64; P=.051). This raises a specific clinical concern, not class-wide oil toxicity.
