Evidence context

How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Have commercial detox products been shown to remove harmful substances?

Qualifies

A 28-day clinical study randomized 20 participants to a plant supplement and 20 to an active dietary control, alongside shared lifestyle advice. Selected red-cell metal biomarkers improved from baseline in the product group, but mostly within-arm tests and endpoint missingness do not establish a significant randomized difference in toxin elimination.
