How this source is used

Evidence roles describe what this source helps establish inside each Investigation. They are local to that use, not permanent labels attached to the publication itself.

Investigation

Do acupuncture meridians exist as a distinct physical network?

Contextualizes

Liu et al. (2021) causally tested deep hindlimb fascial PROKR2 sensory neurons needed for a site- and intensity-dependent vagal–adrenal reflex in mice. It is genuine neural specificity but does not identify an independent continuous meridian conduit.
